How to choose
Fan size and airflow
Fan size sets how much space a fan covers in a room, while CFM measures the volume of air a fan moves. The Depuley spans 66 inches, while the other four picks span 52 inches. Airflow is given for three picks: the EOPETY and Yahada move 5,500 CFM, and the Mosanfan moves 5,000 CFM. Compare the span with your patio or room, then check the CFM figure for the pick that fits that span.
Lights and controls
A built-in light changes how a fan works after dark, and a dimmable light lets you set the brightness for the space. The Depuley light dims across 3000K, 4000K and 6500K, the Freyr light dims at 2700K with 500 lumens, and the Mosanfan light dims from 10% to 100% with 3 color temperature settings. Every pick has a remote, and the Depuley also has app control.
Mounting and outdoor placement
Check the downrod and the ceiling angle before you buy. The Depuley mounts by downrod, the Freyr mounts by downrod with a 4-inch downrod included, and the EOPETY and Yahada include downrods of 5, 10 and 15 inches. The EOPETY fits sloped ceilings up to 45 degrees, and the Yahada allows a tilt of up to 15 degrees. For outdoor use, place the fan under cover: the Freyr is ETL damp rated, the Yahada is damp rated, and the Mosanfan and EOPETY are made for covered outdoor scenes.
