How to choose
Match width to the wall
Measure the wall space first, then compare it with each width here: 68 in, 60 in, 60 in, 72 in and 50.02 in. A wider fireplace covers more wall, so the 72 in Zionheat fits a wide wall, while the 50.02 in EUHOMY fits a narrower wall. Width alone does not set heating power: every pick here draws 1500 watts.
Compare maker coverage figures
Coverage is the maker's own rating for the area a unit is rated for, so compare the figures directly: 400 sq ft for the R.W.FLAME, 600 sq ft for the RealSmart, 400 sq ft for the Xbeauty, 900 sq ft for the Zionheat and 400 sq ft for the EUHOMY. Match the figure against the room's floor area, and treat it as a rating rather than a promise of warmth in every corner. The Zionheat figure of 900 sq ft is the largest stated coverage in this group.
Thermostat, timer and flame controls
A thermostat holds a set temperature by cycling heat, while heat settings switch between fixed outputs such as 750W and 1500W. A timer shuts the unit off after a set span: 1 to 8 hours on the Xbeauty and the EUHOMY, and 1 to 12 hours on the RealSmart. Flame colors, brightness and speed change the display only, and they run with or without heat on models that switch flame and heat independently.
FAQ
