How to choose
Suction and runtime
Suction in pascals measures pulling force, and runtime sets how long one charge lasts. The roborock gives 20,000 Pa and 60 minutes, the dreame gives 25kPa and 35 minutes, and the Tineco gives 40 minutes with a 0.8 liter tank. Compare suction with runtime, since a longer runtime covers more floor on one charge.
Tank size and lie-flat design
Tank size sets how much clean water the machine carries, and a lie-flat design sets how low it goes under furniture. The roborock tank holds 0.87 liters, the Tineco tank holds 0.8 liters, and the dreame tank holds 1 liter. The roborock, Tineco and dreame all lie flat at 180°, and the Tineco compresses to 5.1 inches while the dreame lies flat at 3.88 inches in height. Check the tank size and the flat height against the furniture in your home.
Self-cleaning and upkeep
Self-cleaning rinses the roller so the brush starts clean, and hot air drying leaves it dry after the cycle. The roborock dries in 5 minutes with 194°F hot air, the Tineco uses 158°F Flashdry self-cleaning, and the dreame uses one-press self-cleaning. Empty the dirty water tank after cleaning, and rinse the washable filter on the roborock and dreame models.
