How to choose
Match airflow to the space
Airflow in CFM states how much air a fan moves. The Simple Deluxe moves air at 1,800 CFM with 3 speeds, so it suits buyers who want a stated airflow figure. For the other two picks, compare size, speeds, and tilt: both are 9-inch fans with 3 speeds and 180-degree tilt.
Tilt and placement
A tilt feature lets you aim airflow up or down from the floor. The Simple Deluxe tilts to 230 degrees, while the TEMPWARE and BEYOND BREEZE tilt to 180 degrees. Place a cradle fan on the floor or a flat surface, and point the tilt toward the seating area for direct airflow.
Build and portability
All three picks use all-metal construction with rubber feet, which helps the fan stay put on hard floors. The Simple Deluxe and the BEYOND BREEZE have a carry handle for moving the fan between rooms, so check the handle grip before you carry either fan.
